Book a Ticket
Due to the increasing popularity of Ely Folk Festival, the box office for the 2013 festival will be managed by the apex theatre in Bury St Edmunds. We've tried to keep the process for booking festival tickets as simple as possible and details on the different ways you can book tickets are set out below. Please note that all caravan/campervan pitches on Campsite 1 are now sold out.
To book on-line follow this link to the apex website(If booking camping, please read the guidance notes below.)
- To book by phone, call the apex box office on 01284 758000
- Book in person at the apex theatre during opening hours (see www.theapex.co.uk for details)
- Book by post by downloading the booking form and send it with your payment by cheque (payable to St Edmundsbury Borough Council) to the apex, Charter Square, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 3FD.
Points to note:
- No evening-only tickets will be available this year.
- Weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday tickets will appear as separate 'events' on the apex booking system. TIckets for each 'event' can all be added to the same shopping basket before completing your purchase.
- As before, camping is only available to weekend ticket holders. In order to enable us to effectively plan and manage space on the festival campsites, you will need to purchase a camping pitch for each tent, caravan or campervan you intend bringing to the festival, in addition to your weekend camping ticket. (See the instructions below.)
- Online ticket booking incurs no additional booking fees and a printed copy of the email from the apex confirming the booking will be accepted at the on-site festival box office to exchange for festival wristbands. If for any reason, you wish to have printed tickets posted to you in advance of the festival, there will be a charge of £0.50 per transaction to cover postage.
- Phone and in-person bookings will incur a booking fee of £1 if paying by credit or debit card.
- Phone and postal bookings will incur a charge of £0.50 per transaction to post festival tickets to you.
- To reserve disabled camping pitches and/or parking on the festival site, please call 07500 527334 after booking your festival tickets.
- See www.theapex.co.uk for its Terms & Conditions.
The constraints of the apex booking system (it’s really designed for a theatre) mean that the path to take to book a camping pitch, after booking Weekend with Camping tickets, isn’t very intuitive. - Scroll down the text and click on “Book Now” to display the “Choose Seats” diagramme.
- Click on “Weekend with Camping” to display the various ticket types.
- Enter the quantities of tickets required and then click on “Continue”
- Click on “Continue browsing” to return to the apex What’s On page then type “Ely Folk” in the search box and click “Search”
- Click “Buy Now” in the Ely Folk Festival – Weekend section.
- Scroll down the text and click “Book Now”
- Click on “Ely Festival” to return to the “Choose Seats” diagramme.
- Click on the required camping pitch option.
